How to wear a Silver Bomber with a Jumpsuit

Silver is a big trend this season and I was wondering how I was going to incorporate a piece of garment into my daily wear without going head to toe in silver. I opted for the pop of silver rather then the head-to-toe look, I am not ready for the astronaut look for sure! If you are like me then why not try out a metallic accent before you try out the full on ensemble, silver tends to liven up the simplest of ensemble.

I have been admiring the  Gucci silver bomber but was too late to purchase it as it was sold out. By chance as I was browsing through the Misguided website I came a cross this silver bomber which looks exactly the same as the Gucci one. The only difference between them is the inside lining and of course the pricing! I of course immediately bought it and I am so glad that I did as I absolutely love it.

Here I have styled it with my Karen Millen sleeveless black jumpsuit, this jumpsuit is so easy to wear and style, with wide legs and a drawstring around the waist to cinch you in. It also has a zip fastening at the front making it very easy to go to the lavatory without the need of another person to help you in and out of it. You all know the struggles ladies!

I kept the accessories in black as the jacket was enough to make a statement. I teamed the outfit with my Marks And Spencer faux pearl bag, a cute little bag which has enough space for your everyday essentials. As for the shoes I went for my black velvet wedge heeled shoes from Asos. These are very comfortable to wear and go very well with the jumpsuit, as the jumpsuit is on the longer side. I love the legs to be long anyway so it was just the right length for me. I did not have to have them taken up or let out, in some cases I have to as they are not as to my liking.

I kept my hair simple too by pulling it back into a top knot and as for my lips I went for a red colour to go with the red stripes on the jacket. To finish off the look I went for my Cat-Eye sunglasses from Le Specs. I really do love these sunglasses and the brand, they do some wonderful sunglasses. I have been buying from them for a while now, so I am not jumping on the band wagon as its the latest trend. Although there is nothing wrong with that, thats how most people come across a brand they have never heard of or tried. The latest pair that are on trend would be the Adam Selman The Last Lolita cat-eye which are sold out in black, but are available in red, blue and clear.

Here are a few of my favourite silver garments and accessories:

Roksanda Nivala Hammered-silk Blouse: This ‘Nivala’ blouse is loosely cut from hammered-silk and has a tie-fastening turtleneck and cuffs, both lined in contrasting teal. Wear it tucked in to a pair of wide leg black trousers or a black skirt to accentuate the beautiful shape of the sleeves. Or why not take the cue from the teal on the cuffs and go for a teal skirt instead. You can find it here (@Net-A-Porter)

Proenza Schouler – Metallic Textured-leather Ankle Boots: These are made from silver textured-leather and tipped with patent black toe. One of the best ways to wear a touch of silver is by going for a pair of shoes or boots in this instance. Why not highlight yours with either a midi skirt or some cropped denim. You can find it here (@Net-A-Porter)

Christopher Kane Metallic pleated skirt: Pleated skirts are a firm favourite and are still on trend, wear yours with a crisp white shirt, layered with a grey jumper on top and depending on weather you want to style it up or down. You can either go for some white trainers or some heels either in silver or in black.

GUCCI Floral-brocade single-breasted blazer: This gorgeous blazer has been expertly tailored in Italy with sharp shoulders and black velvet and silk-twill trims. It turns to reveal a sequin and bead-embellished tiger motif on the back. Pair it with a green pleated skirt and a black top and shoes. You can find it here (@MatchesFashion.com)

NBD x REVOLVE Neah Bodysuit in Metallic Silver: The shiny metallic fabric creates a lustful contour while a ruffled cold shoulder ignites feminine charm. It has adjustable shoulder straps, flutter sleeves and a bottom snap button closure. A perfect piece to add to your party outfit! You can find it here (@Revolve)

Topshop MIMOSA Metallic Ankle Boots: These unique ankle boots come with a practical low heel and is finished in a shiny metallic silver. They are great for everyday wear and can amp up an outfit instantly. You can find them here (@Topshop)

Asos Pleated Midi Skirt In Silver Metallic: This pretty skirt comes in a lightweight pleated fabric with a metallic finish and a toggle drawstring at the waist. Why not wear it with a jumper and some trainers for a casual look which is very popular with the street style. Or change the trainers for some blocked heels to amp it up. You can find it here (@Asos)

Qed London Metallic Bomber Jacket: This jacket has a metallic textured coating and is fully lined. It has a baseball collar, zip fastening, ribbed trims and functional pockets. It is similar to the one I am wearing and you can style yours either with a skirt or some jeans for a casual look. You can find it here (@Asos)
