I have a thing for flared jeans and bell bottoms, I absolutely love them. They have to be extra long where you barely see my shoes or don’t see them at all. These are low waisted, very fitted at the top and flare out from the knee. I bought them from the Guess store in Rodeo Drive many years ago on holiday. I actually bought 3 pairs of them, this black one, a light denim pair, and a white pair.
It was our first long haul holiday with Bootsy my first born, who was one and a half years old at the time. I was also 3 months pregnant with my second. The jet lag was no fun for me or for my son who kept waking up at 3.00am every morning. My poor husband had to go down to the lobby with him so I could get some sleep. Oh the joys of parenting! Apparently he had made friends with the staff on the night shift, so he looked forward to seeing them every morning. The staff also enjoyed seeing him too, I guess they didn’t have much else going on at 3.ooam.
Teamed up with my…. yes you’ve guessed it……. Karen Millen shirt with a pussy bow tie. I prefer to leave the bow untie, that’s just how I like it! To inject some colour I have gone for my maroon blazer which is from Karen Millen too. The colour is just so beautiful and just the right shade of maroon. It is fitted so looks stylish and elegant, at the same time I could wear it with my coated jeans and a white shirt to dress it down for a casual look.
Whenever I wear flared jeans or bell bottoms, I always pair them with wedges or espadrilles. Here I have gone for some tan coloured wedges from Read or Dead to finish the look.
