All Black Ensemble

I find it so easy and comfortable to put on an all black outfit in the morning. Making breakfast and snacks for three boys as well as making sure that their school bags, instruments and gym bags are packed, whilst trying to find time for me to get ready is no easy task to say the least. We have to be out of the house by 7.45am, so I organise their uniforms and gym wear the night before, thus giving us a little more time in the mornings. However, there have been a few occasions where I have had to make a second trip back to the school as one of them has forgotten either their instrument or their gym bag.

My shirt is from Karen Millen, you will notice I have quite a few Karen Millen pieces in my wardrobe, that is because I love their garments and accessories. The style and fit of their clothing is to my taste. I have been shopping there since I was 19. This gorgeous black shirt has a round neck and front zip, also has a slight gathering at the back.

My coated black skinny jeans are from Guess, they have zips on the sides which gives them that biker look. These are very stylish and comfortable to wear and not restraining at all. The suede ankle wedge boots with buckles on the side are from Dune and I have had them for many years now, they have been worn so many times and have scuffs on them, but I don’t care as they are so comfortable and don’t hurt my feet at all.

There are so many ways to do this look, here are a few suggestions:

For a more casual look why not pair a pencil skirt with a t-shirt, some trainer/sneaker and a bomber. This will give you that street style yet keeping you very comfortable.

How about a black slip dress over a black t-shirt with a belt to cinch you in at the waist to show off your figure. Wear some trainers/sneakers for the day and by adding some heels to amp it up for an evening out.

An all black romper, a black oversized blazer and some heels will bring this ensemble together, great for brunch or lunch!

Before heading out I throw on my Topshop sage coloured fur hooded bomber, to inject a bit of colour, and pick up my trusted Modalu Pippa Grab bag. This bag is just so versatile and has a load of space and pockets for all your bits and pieces. It is large enough to fit my umbrella, which is always in there whether it is raining or not. With the British weather you never know when you can get caught out.
